Mourn With Those Who Mourn, Then Give Thanks Not For This Day But For All God Has Done For Us

Good morning, we give thanks to God with a grateful heart, not for this day or the history of it, but for all God has done for us and our families throughout this year.

We know the true natives of this land mourn for the bloodshed and tragedy that befell them and so we acknowledge and mourn with them too as God commands us to mourn with those who mourn. Romans 12:15-16 “15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.”

Yet, at the same time we look back on this year and appreciate God for preserving our lives, protecting us from covid infections, causing many we know to recover from covid, feeding and clothing our FAMs, having a home to live in, healing our FAMs from illness not related to covid, giving elders in our FAM long lives and more years to live, using us to serve and bless others, and most critically drawing us closer to HIMSELF who is our Loving Father, HIS SON our Lord JESUS, and HIS HOLY SPIRIT. LORD we love you and thank you, and Worship YOU with the rest of our lives in JESUS name, Amen

Psalms 38:1
English Standard Version
I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise;
