Everything and everyone in this world will at one point or another fail or disappoint you. This is why God compels us to put our trust only in Him, God!
Psalm 56:11
11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
Psalm 146:3
3 Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
Psalm 40:4
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD (Jehovah) his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
1 Corinthians 2:5
5 I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.
