Read And Know God’s Words They Are A Blessing To Those Who Read And Obey Them

Beloved, we must read all of God’s words so we are aware of all of HIS blessings and promises as well as all the curse that come with disobedience. Know your God, and know HIS words. Read God’s words aloud to yourself, your family and all with you and around you.

Joshua 8:30-35 Emphasis 34-35
34 And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and the cursings, according to all that is written in the Book of the Law.
35 There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded which Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel, with the women, the little ones, and the strangers who were living among them.

Psalms 119:130
130 The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Give Sin NO Chance

Beloved, I know one of the fruits of the spirit is tolerance. But, I’m sure God did not say to tolerate and condone sin. Every sin must be treated as deadly cancer or an infectious virus i.e. cut it out, burn it away through treatment, or stay far away from the infection. We must rebuke and correct those around us who sin. Let us not tolerate sins at all and at same time only love and pray for the sinner. Burn that sin or sinful thing and all that comes with it all up! Give it no chance!

Joshua 8:28-29
28 So Joshua burned Ai and made it a heap forever, a desolation to this day.
29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until evening. And as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his corpse down from the tree, cast it at the entrance of the gate of the city, and raise over it a great heap of stones that remains to this day.

Jude 1:23 New Living Translation
23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.

Jude 1:23 Amplified Bible
23 save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy but with fear, loathing even the clothing spotted and polluted by their shameless immoral freedom.

Protect Your Heart And Let God Lead It

Beloved,

In this new year, we must protect our hearts, spiritually and physically because all life flows from it. Everything we do comes from the heart so we must guard our hearts by seeking God, filling our heart with God, HIS Words, HIS truths, HIS love, and by allowing the Holy Spirit lead us each day. May we follow God so HE may lead our hearts to HIS presence and a good life experience no matter what comes our way.

Proverbs 4:20‭-‬23
20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

How Do We Cleanse Our Souls As A Nation And Start To Treat Each Other Right?

Beloved, To cleanse the soul from rage and sin, we must continue to seek and find God. The fear of God will lead to humility and love for others. I pray we never stop seeking for God, and that we find more of God in JESUS name, Amen.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

We Regain Victory After We Fall If We Repent Of Our Sins And Obey God

Beloved, the history of the battles between Ai and Isreal is one we must always remember and learn from. God’s people Isreal lost the first battle to Ai because they disobeyed God and fought the enemy in arrogance and without God’s direction. But, after they confessed their sins and reconnected with God, the Lord restored them and helped them defeat Ai at the 2nd battle.

Lesson here, because we are saints of God and belong to HIM, it does not mean we won’t suffer consequences for our sins. Don’t let the pride of your status with God as saints deceive you into trusting in your own strength or that your sins don’t matter. Humble yourself, confess your sins, repent, listen for God again and obey HIS directions and then you will overcome again.

Joshua 8:1-2, 26-27 (For full context read 1-29)

1 Now the Lord said to Joshua: “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land.
2 And you shall do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king. Only its spoil and its cattle you shall take as booty for yourselves. Lay an ambush for the city behind it.”…
26 For Joshua did not draw back his hand, with which he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
27 Only the livestock and the spoil of that city Israel took as booty for themselves, according to the word of the Lord which He had commanded Joshua

Do We REALLY Believe?

Beloved, though this was a message copied from Joshua Goodling, I had to share this message this New Year to help us re-focus on the foundation of our walk in Christ i.e. Faith and Believing

Do We REALLY Believe?

In Mark chapter 6, Jesus returns to his hometown to teach and preach the Gospel.  However, what He found was that the people there did not believe He was truly the Messiah.  Read what the first six verses tell us;

“He went away from there and came to his hometown, and his disciples followed him. And on the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things? What is the wisdom given to him? How are such mighty works done by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him. And Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.” And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief.” (Mark 6:1-6)

They should have been the first to believe!  His hometown and even His own family!  He was performing miracles and teaching as One who KNEW what He was talking about.  His actions PROVED He was the Messiah, yet the people allowed their human reasoning to get in the way, and they would not accept Him or believe in Him.

The Bible says in verse 6, “And he marveled because of their unbelief” As Almighty God, He knew they would not believe, yet at the same time He was amazed that they could see all of the works He was doing, they could see infallible proofs that He was the Messiah, and yet they STILL did not believe in Him.

I wonder, how many times does God marvel at OUR unbelief?  You argue, “Oh, I believe Jesus is the Messiah!”  Yes, but do you really believe that God can and will answer prayer?  Do you really believe that God will provide all of your needs?  Do you really believe that God will do all that His Word claims He will do?  Do you really believe God can work in YOUR life as He has worked in other Christian’s lives and in the past?  TRUTHFULLY, do you REALLY BELIEVE GOD?

We read stories about God working in the lives of people like George Mueller, David Livingstone, and others.  We read stories in the Bible about God working through Elijah, Paul, Moses, and others.  We see God miraculously answer prayer for others, and yet we so often don’t fully give Him control of EVERYTHING in our own lives because we’re just not sure He will do the same for us.  We don’t give abundantly to others because we’re afraid we’ll have nothing left for ourselves.  We don’t give up all of our sins and follow Him completely because we’re afraid it won’t work for us.  We don’t focus all of our attention on Him and seek after Him with all of our hearts, because we’re afraid things won’t work out the way WE want them to.  The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the SAME yesterday, today, and FOREVER!  We serve the SAME GOD people in the Bible and in Christian history served.  The same promises hold true for us!
I think many times God must marvel at our lack of faith and our unbelief.  He longs to know us personally and work amazingly in our lives, but He can’t until we give up EVERYTHING and follow Him.  We should actively seek and pray for God to INCREASE our FAITH in Him.

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

Confess And Repent From Hidden Sins

Beloved, have we confessed our sins to God and turned away from doing them which is repentance? Do we not realize that keeping that sin buried and unconfessed breaks our fellowship with God and benefits of HIS presence? Thank GOD for any who have confessed our Lord JESUS as Savior, if we sin and confess those sins, those sins are forgiven and our life is spared so you can live on. Achan and his family were stoned and burned in the old covenant, an end way worse than what God now has redeemed us to. Nevertheless, now, unconfessed sin has it adverse consequences. So repent, confess your sins and return to fellowship with God.

Joshua 7:19 (Read verses 19-26 for full context)
19 Now Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
